                               INFORMATION FOR ADOPTERS

Our dogs have been through many changes so it takes time for them to feel secure again. The California dogs were initially a stray dog on the street and then they spent days/weeks in a cold, loud shelter with other dogs in a concrete cell. After that they went on on a 2 day day transport which is stressful again! The Mexican dogs adjust easier as they fly here straight from a loving foster home in Hualtulco.

It's a great feeling when we see the dogs relaxing and playing with a toy, or sleeping contently beside us, or excited to go on their daily walk. Dogs are very resilient and live in the moment!

While the dogs are in foster care we begin basic training and address any medical needs before they are adopted. Time spent in foster care helps draw out their individual personalities, which helps us place them in the right home.

When completing the adoption process we require a home visit to ensure it is a safe environment and proper fit for the dog's personality. If you live in the Vancouver area we will do in person home visit. If you live further away we will do a zoom chat with
