We are a registered non profit society based in Surrey, BC. We rescue homeless dogs from California where hundreds of sweet small dogs end up in High Kill shelters. These dogs only have a few days to be adopted or rescued due to the lack of shelter space. California shelters are currently overflowing and are at a crisis level where even small dogs are in danger of euthanasia. We also rescue small dogs from Mexico where we have partnered with a woman who runs a dog shelter for homeless dogs. Many dogs there have unwanted litters and dogs are abandoned.

Nothing is more rewarding then to see these homeless dogs go into loving homes here in BC, where their little lives are changed forever! They are spoiled by their foster and adoptive family with walks, toys, friends, love and good nutrition. Thanks to our rescue, and adopters like you, we can give them a second chance here in BC. There is a large demand for small dogs here. We do not rescue large dogs as we already have so many big dogs in shelters here in BC that need homes.

All of our adult dogs are vetted including sterilization, a vet check up, a microchip, vaccinations as well as deworming and flea/tick medication. We include a leash, harness, collar, toys and food for each adoption.

We offer a two week trial adoption to be sure of the right fit for the dog and the family.  We also offer a drop off/pick up at the Tsawwassen ferry terminal for approved Island adopters. ($25 charge)

Our adoption fee pays for  transport, basic vet fees, spay/neuter, vaccinations, examinations, microchip, and foster supplies. We often encounter more needed such as blood work, x rays, ear infections antibiotics, and sometimes surgery. Recently a dog needed $4,000 for surgery, and another  dog had an abdominal hernia repaired for $300. Vet bills add up quickly for rescuers.
